Or Earl Grey caramels that get their very own cookie crust? I'm in love. Sandy's caramel-making technique is also intriguing. Rather than the two-step technique that I've always used , Sandy combines all the ingredients in the pot and cooks them ever-so-gently to just below the "firm ball" stage. No crazy bubbling-up of sugar syrup to deal with or worries about the temperature suddenly shooting past your mark. http://www.thekitchn.com/eggnog-caramels-this-new-allcaramel-cookbook-will-tell-you-how-new-cookbook-first-look-213658

Georgia hosts adventure tours for women around the country, so it follows that she'd make a natural element — wood — such a prominent part of her kitchen design. It certainly makes the kitchen stand out! Just look at the photo below: What do you think? http://www.thekitchn.com/this-wood-plank-backsplash-is-the-star-of-this-austin-kitchen-spotlight-213799

Prime Rib, The King of Roasts — Meat Basics

Q: Every year for the holidays, my parents buy me and my husband a set of large (very sweet) milk chocolate bars. We are both dark chocolate lovers and have no clue what to do with these sweet confections. I'd love some recipes or ideas on what to do with them. Sent by Kali Editor: Since you don't love the flavor of the bars, consider using them in recipes where other flavors and textures might be more dominant, like ice cream or as a candy coating. Here are some recipes to check out: http://www.thekitchn.com/what-can-i-make-with-milk-chocolate-bars-good-questions-213726

Where Is Prime Rib Cut From? Prime rib is cut from the primal rib section of the animal — ribeyes are actually steaks cut from the prime rib. A whole prime rib is composed of 6 ribs (ribs #6 to 12), which can weigh anywhere from 12 to 16 pounds. Buying Prime Rib If such a large roast is too much for you to handle or eat, just ask the butcher to cut it down for you by asking for a certain number of ribs instead of a whole roast. Ribs 6 to 9 (also known as the chuck end, second cut, or blade end) are closer to the shoulder and contain more big chunks of fat, whereas ribs 10 to 12 (also known as the loin end, small end, or first cut), are leaner but more tender. Prime rib can be sold bone-in or boneless, and you can always ask the butcher to cut the meat off the bones and tie it back on, which helps in the carving process once the roast is cooked. http://www.thekitchn.com/prime-rib-the-king-of-roasts-meat-basics-213745
